Everything you need to know before you lace up: tickets, rentals, rules, weather, parties and more.
Tickets & Pricing
When do tickets go on sale?
Very soon. Join the list to hear the moment they drop, and get an exclusive early-bird discount just for signing up.
How much are tickets?
Every public session is $22 per skater with rental skates included. We also have a few deals:
Family Night: 4 tickets for $60 on regular-week Wednesdays · Littles Skate: $44 for a grown-up and one little (8 & under), and a 3rd child skates FREE, Wednesdays 11 AM–12:30 PM (10–11 AM in holiday weeks) · Cheap Skate Mondays: $16 every Monday outside holiday weeks.
Are skate rentals included?
Yes. Rental skates are included with every ticket, from toddler size 8 through adult size 14.
Should I buy tickets in advance?
We recommend it. Each session has limited capacity, and weekends and holiday weeks sell out first. Buying online guarantees your spot. Walk-up tickets are sold only if space remains.
Can I get a refund or change my session?
Tickets are non-refundable, but you can exchange for another session up to 24 hours before your start time, based on availability. If weather closes the ice, your tickets are exchanged automatically.
Do spectators need a ticket?
No. Non-skaters can watch for free from our rink-side seating and fire pits.
Do you accept cash?
We're a cashless venue. We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Are there any discounts?
Yes: the early-bird discount for our email list, Family Night (4 tickets for $60 on Wednesdays), $16 Cheap Skate Mondays, and $2 off for military and first responders with ID. Group rates for 15 or more skaters are booking now.
Do you sell season passes or gift cards?
The Snowflake Season Pass is $199 and lets you skate any public session all season long. Gift cards will be available when tickets go on sale.
Sessions & Hours
How long is a skate session?
Every public session is 90 minutes. After each one we resurface the ice for 30 minutes, so every session starts on fresh ice and a new session begins every two hours.
What are your hours?
During regular weeks we're open Mon–Thu 3:00–8:30 PM, Fri 3:00–10:30 PM, Sat 11:00 AM–10:30 PM (private ice available 9–11 AM) and Sun 11:00 AM–8:30 PM (Learn to Skate classes at 9 and 10 AM). Littles Skate runs Wednesdays 11 AM–12:30 PM (10–11 AM in holiday weeks). During holiday weeks (Nov 23–29 and Dec 19–Jan 4) we're open every day from 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM.
Use the Session Finder to see the exact times for any date.
What happens on opening night?
We open Friday, November 20 at 5 PM with a Grand Opening Free Skate from 5 to 6 PM, free for everyone. After a fresh resurface, regular sessions start at 6:30 and 8:30 PM.
Are you open on holidays?
Yes, every day of the season. Thanksgiving follows holiday hours (11 AM–10:30 PM), Christmas Eve is 11 AM–6:30 PM and Christmas Day is 1–8:30 PM. New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and Monday, Jan 4 follow holiday hours, and we wrap up the season with Closing Day on Sunday, Jan 10. See holiday hours.
When should I arrive?
Plan to arrive 20 to 30 minutes before your session to check in, get your skates and lace up. Sessions start and end on time.
What are Theme Tuesdays and Late Skates?
On Tuesdays, the last two sessions of the night take on a theme like Ugly Sweater Skate or Glow Skate. On Friday and Saturday nights, the last session of the night (9 PM) is our Late Skate, with a live DJ and colored lights. See all special sessions.
Skating & Rentals
I've never skated before. Can I still come?
Absolutely! Rent a skate helper to help with balance, sign up for a Learn to Skate class, or just take it slow along the boards. Our skate guards are always happy to help.
What skate sizes do you have?
Rental skates run from toddler size 8 through adult size 14. Sizes are first come, first served.
Do you have skate helpers for new skaters?
Yes. Skate helpers are $15 and good for your whole skating session. They're great for little ones and first-timers, and they're first come, first served.
Do you offer skating lessons?
Yes! Learn to Skate runs Sunday mornings in two classes by age: Class 1 at 9:00 AM for ages 10 and under (starting at 4), and Class 2 at 10:00 AM for ages 11 and up, adults included. Each class is 45 minutes. There are two sessions this season, Session 1 (Nov 22 – Dec 13) and Session 2 (Dec 20 – Jan 10). Each session is 4 classes for $175, with skates included. See class details and register.
Is there a minimum age to skate?
No minimum age. Littles Skate runs Wednesdays 11 AM–12:30 PM (10–11 AM in holiday weeks) for kids 8 and under: $44 for a grown-up and one little, and a 3rd child skates FREE. Learn to Skate classes start at age 4. Skaters 12 and under need an adult on site, and kids under 7 need a grown-up on the ice with them.
Safety & Rink Rules
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Every skater needs a quick digital waiver, and a parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18. You'll be able to sign online before your visit to skip the line.
Are helmets or gloves required?
Gloves are strongly recommended, since hands and ice meet more often than you'd think. Helmets aren't required but are recommended for young skaters. Bike, ski or hockey helmets all work.
What are the rink rules?
Skate counterclockwise. No racing, tag or chains. No food or drinks on the ice. Don't carry children while skating. Keep phones secured and follow our skate guards' instructions.
Can I bring my dog?
Only service animals are permitted at the rink.
What if I lose something?
Check with the skate counter before you leave, or email info@iceattheoaks.com with a description and we'll take a look.
Weather & Closures
What happens if it rains?
We skate rain or shine in light drizzle. If heavy rain, high wind or lightning makes the ice unsafe, we'll pause or close sessions and automatically exchange affected tickets for another session.
Will the ice melt on warm days?
Our rink is fully refrigerated and built by Special Ice, so it holds a solid sheet even on warm Southern California afternoons. On especially warm days the surface can be a little wet, but the ice stays skateable.
How will I know if the rink is closed?
We'll email ticket holders right away and post updates on our Live Feed page.
