Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

This policy explains what information Ice at The Oaks ("we", "us") collects through iceattheoaks.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Ice at The Oaks is an outdoor ice rink at 147 W Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360, built and managed by Special Ice in partnership with Eventful LA.

Information you give us

Ticket alerts: your email address.
Party, private ice, field trip and group requests: your name, email, phone, event type, preferred date and time, guest count and any notes.
Learn to Skate registration: the parent or guardian's name, email and phone, and the skater's name, age, skating level and any notes you add.
Sponsorship inquiries: your name, company, email, phone, interests, budget range and message.
Ambassador applications: your name, email, phone, city, social media handles, audience size, how you plan to share, and your message. If you're accepted, we also keep your personal code, your sales and referrals, and how you'd like to be paid.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records basic visit information: the pages you view, the page that sent you here, your browser and device type, and the date and time. Our hosting and security providers also process your IP address to deliver the site and block abuse, and may set a short-lived security cookie. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't track you across other websites.

How we use your information

To answer your requests and plan your party, event, class or sponsorship.
To run the Ambassador Program, including tracking sales and sending payouts.
To send ticket alerts and updates you asked for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
To run, secure and improve the website and the rink.
To meet legal, safety and accounting obligations.

When we share it

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with:

The companies that build and operate the rink (Special Ice and Eventful LA), to run your booking or program.
Service providers that work for us, such as website hosting and database, email and text messaging, and, once tickets are on sale, our ticketing, payment and waiver providers. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the safety of our guests and staff.

Children

This website is meant for adults. Children's names and ages reach us only when a parent or guardian registers them for Learn to Skate, and we use them only to place the child in the right class and run it. A parent or guardian can ask us to see or delete that information at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as we need it for the purpose you shared it for, and then as long as required for legal, tax or accounting reasons. Ask us any time to delete what we don't need to keep.

Your choices and California rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email, or by writing to us.
California residents may also ask what categories of personal information we share for direct marketing purposes. We don't share it for that purpose.

Email info@iceattheoaks.com with any request, and we'll reply within 30 days.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no common standard for responding to it, so our site doesn't change its behavior when it receives one. We don't track visitors across other websites either way.

Security

Our site uses HTTPS, and the information you submit is stored in a database that only authorized staff can read. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send us payment card numbers or other sensitive details through our forms.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
