Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed October 13, 2026

Ice at The Oaks is for everyone. We want every guest to be able to find our hours, buy tickets, book a party and plan a visit on this website, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard most widely used for website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.

What we've done

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, shows a clear focus outline, and starts with a "Skip to content" link.
  • Pages use real headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers can move around them easily.
  • Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and controls meet WCAG color contrast levels, including text over photos.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and errors are explained in words, not just color.
  • Pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed to 400%, with no sideways scrolling.
  • The Pause animations button in the lower left corner stops the snowfall, lights, scrolling banner and countdowns. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations stay off automatically.
  • We test with automated tools (axe-core) and by hand with a keyboard on phones and desktops.

Known limitations

  • Some photos on the site are concept renderings of the rink. They're described in text where they carry information.
  • The live rink cam is video only, with no sound. Rink status, weather updates and closures are also posted in text on the Live Feed page.
  • Ticketing, digital waivers and some links (such as Amazon or YouTube) are run by other companies. We choose partners with accessibility in mind, and we'll help you complete anything their sites make hard.

Visiting the rink

Our entry, restrooms, seating and rink-side viewing areas are wheelchair accessible, and service animals are welcome. See the accessibility FAQ, or email us before your visit and we'll help plan everything you need.

Tell us if something doesn't work

If anything on this website is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email info@iceattheoaks.com with the page and what happened. We'll reply within two business days, and we can help you buy tickets or book by email in the meantime.
