Birthday Parties & Group Events on the Ice
A tent of your own, 90 minutes on the ice and a birthday shout-out under the string lights. Here's how to pick a package, when to book and what to expect on the day, plus options for schools, teams and companies.
A birthday on the ice feels like an event before anyone even laces up. There are string lights, fire pits, a real Zamboni laying fresh ice before every session, and a shout-out over the PA for the birthday star.
Ice at The Oaks is open every day from November 6, 2026 through January 10, 2027, and party packages start at $299. Here's everything you need to plan one.
December weekends book up first. Book at least two weeks ahead, and four or more weeks ahead for December weekends and winter break. Request a date
Step 1: Pick your package
Every party skates during a public session, with your own party space rink-side. Packages are priced by skater, and non-skating guests are welcome in your tent free.

Extra skaters are $29 each. Snow Globe is our most popular package: the fire pit gives your group a warm home base between laps.
Step 2: Add the extras
- Group lesson ($95): 20 minutes with one of our coaches for up to 12 skaters. Great for first-timers. Based on availability.
- Cozy patio heater ($79): a patio heater by your tent to keep everyone toasty.
- Décor bundle ($149): balloons, a table cover and a birthday banner.
- Rink-side message ($35): your custom message on our welcome board.
Step 3: Choose your day and time
On school days we're open afternoons and evenings, and weekends open at 11 AM. During Thanksgiving break (Nov 21–30) and winter break (Dec 19 – Jan 10) we open at 11 AM every day, which opens up lunchtime parties on weekdays too. The full day-by-day calendar is on our Sessions & Hours page.
Step 4: Send a request
- Tell us the details. Use the form on our Groups & Parties page with your date, group size and package.
- We confirm. Our events team replies within one business day with availability and a quote.
- Lock it in. A 50% deposit reserves your date, and the balance is due on the day. Deposits are fully refundable up to 14 days before your party.
What to expect on party day
- Arrive 30 minutes early and check in at the party desk.
- Sign waivers. Every skater needs a quick digital waiver, and parents sign for kids.
- Gear up. Rental skates are included. Gloves, warm layers and tall socks make it more fun, and helmets are welcome for young skaters.
- Skate, then celebrate. Ninety minutes on the ice, then cake and presents in your tent.
Cake and treats: bring your own cake, cupcakes and treats. Other outside food isn't permitted, but Winter Wonderland includes 2 large pizzas, and our Cocoa Cabin serves hot chocolate, funnel cakes, cotton candy and s'mores.
Weather: we skate rain or shine in light drizzle. If heavy rain, wind or lightning closes the ice, we'll reschedule your party to another date this season at no charge.
Planning something bigger?
Birthdays are just the start. Here's what else we book this season:
- Private Ice Rental ($2,500 per hour): the whole rink to yourselves, outside public hours, for up to 100 skaters with skates included. Additional skaters and add-ons are 25% off, and your playlist runs on our sound system. Saturday mornings before public skating (9:00 – 11:00 AM) are set aside for private ice.
- Company and holiday parties: groups of 20 to 200 with reserved fire pits, lounge and tent space, food and a cocoa bar arranged for you, and your logo on our welcome board. We'll quote it for your group.
- School field trips ($18 per student): weekday skating for classes and grade levels, rental skates included, with a 25-student minimum. Add skate helpers for $10 each or a coach for $149. For schools only.
- School fundraiser nights ($20 per ticket): your school community skates, and $5 from every ticket goes back to your school or PTA. Minimum 25 students, for schools and PTAs only.
- Scouts, clubs, churches and sports teams: group pricing starts at 15 skaters. Tell us your group size and date and we'll send a quote.
- Proposals and surprises (from $299): 15 minutes of private ice, lights and a song cued on your signal, and roses with a cocoa toast rink-side. You bring the ring.
