Why Sponsor Ice at The Oaks

Sixty-six days of skating, families from across the Conejo Valley, and your name right in the glow. Here's why a rink sponsorship works harder than another ad, and how to get on the boards by opening night.

Most local advertising gets a second of attention: a scroll past a post, a glance at a mailer. A rink is different. People come for a 90-minute session, wait rink-side with a cocoa, sit by the fire pits and take photos the whole time. Whatever's on the boards around them gets seen, again and again.

This winter, Ice at The Oaks brings an outdoor ice rink to Thousand Oaks for its inaugural season, open every day from November 6, 2026 through January 10, 2027. Here's why local businesses are putting their names on it.

  • 66 days of skating, Nov 6 – Jan 10
  • 322 public sessions, plus parties
  • 25,000+ projected skaters
  • 200,000+ projected spectators

Projections include guests on site and traffic along Thousand Oaks Blvd.

People stay, so they actually see you

Every public session is a full 90 minutes on the ice, and spectators always get in free. Parents watch from the rail, friends wait by the fire pits, and groups linger in their party tents. A rink-side dasher board sits in front of every skater and spectator at every session, and the Zamboni takes the ice between sessions in front of the whole crowd. That's attention a billboard can't buy.

It's exactly the audience local businesses want

  • Local families from across the Conejo Valley, all season long, with plenty of time to notice who's on the boards.
  • Teens and young adults at Late Skates, Theme Tuesdays and date nights.
  • Companies and groups at holiday parties and team outings, which puts local decision-makers rink-side.
  • Schools and parents through Learn to Skate, Littles Skate, field trips and school fundraiser nights.

It runs through the busiest weeks of the year

The season covers Thanksgiving break, the holiday shopping rush and winter break, at The Oaks, where people are already out shopping, eating and making plans. Your brand is part of the outing right when people are making their holiday plans.

Your brand travels online, too

Every visit gets photographed and shared, and the boards, the Zamboni and the skate helpers show up in guest photos and videos all season. Our live rink cam keeps the ice on screen for people checking conditions from home, and packages include your logo on our website and live feed plus featured social posts.

You become part of a new tradition

This is the rink's first season. The businesses that back it now are the founding partners of a winter tradition in Thousand Oaks, and that's a story your customers will remember. EquipmentShare is already on board as a sponsor.

There's an option for every budget

Every package can be tailored to your goals, so think of these as starting points:

  • Rink-side dasher board ($2,500 per season): a 6′ × 3′ board, printed and installed for the full season. Our team can help with the layout at no charge.
  • Littles Skate sponsor ($3,000 per season): "Littles Skate presented by Your Brand" every Wednesday morning, in front of young families.
  • Learn to Skate sponsor ($3,000 per season): "Learn to Skate presented by Your Brand" on both class sessions, every Sunday morning.

Not ready to write a check? Community and media partners can trade food, prizes, services or coverage for recognition. Real estate agents have their own packages, from branded skate helpers to a dasher board with your headshot and a QR code to your listings.

Turn visibility into customers

A sponsorship can do more than show your logo. Use skate passes as customer gifts and team rewards, host a themed night as a customer appreciation event, run giveaways and collect leads at a booth, and get named on the PA in front of a full rink. Tell us what you want out of it and we'll shape the package around it.
